Ruth A. (Keefer) Sarkis

Ruth A. Sarkis, 80, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024.

She was born on July 13, 1943 in Rochester, PA a daughter of the late James Andrew and Sarah Ann (Miller) Keefer.  Ruth was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish-Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.  She retired from Erie Insurance where she worked as a claims clerk and she was a member of the Lebanese Mirdites League in Hopewell.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Sarkis; a sister, Janice Heck and a nephew, James Heck.

She is survived by her two children, David M. Sarkis and his wife Casey; and Melissa Yeager and her husband Thomas; three grandchildren, Matthew Yeager; Claire Sarkis; and Richard Yeager; a brother-in-law, George Sarkis; and a sister-in-law, June Sarkis.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday from 4pm to 8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
